Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) elected a three-member Presidency Council led by Mohamed al-Mnefi and PM Abdelhamid Dabeiba. This new executive is entrusted with the task of shaping a National Unity Government, which will prepare Libya for general elections

New executive has the difficult task of driving the country to an official and parliamentary election at end of this year, supplanting both the UN-recognized, Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) and an opponent eastern regime.

Now the interim government faces the overwhelming test of tending to address problems of Libyans, from a socio-economic crisis, wretched government service, and rising inflation.

The main challenge for the new government will be to stand up to the expectations of the Libyan community and international pressures.
