A Normalised Israel-Sudan Relation has some Issues to Face

Here’s my point for the reading I had today. Here it is, Sudan should have let talks with the US and Israel run their course before taking such a move, for all kinds of realistic reasons. In order to show off and give a warning to Iran, the UAE may have signed up for peace with Israel, but Sudan wanted more than bragging rights.

Sudan ‘s economy is in a desperate state, and matters have been made worse by the Covid-19 pandemic and recent floods. The nation suffers from high unemployment, persistent poverty and mismanagement of the economy. It is important to delete it from the infamous SST list if it is to enter foreign financial institutions that are dominated by the US in all but name. Skillful negotiators may have turned Sudan’s hardships into strengths, but the Khartoum junta did not want to know.
